Dear Livingston Library Community,
“One benefit of Summer was that each day we had more light to read by.”
― Jeannette Walls, The Glass Castle
This summer our young readers certainly proved the truth of this quote. Since the Summer Reading Challenge began on June 25, children in Livingston have read a total 201,248 minutes and our teens have read 354 books! I am especially proud of the 15% of our young readers who have already completed all four levels of the Summer Reading Challenge. If you’re not done yet, don't worry - there is still one week left to complete the challenge and earn prizes!
Summer also brought a lot of exciting programs to the Library. We dug for dinosaur bones, read books to teen volunteers, built Lego cities, solved mysteries, danced with Guitar Joe, created beautiful works of art, and learned about coding. But summer is not quite over yet and we plan to keep the fun going as long as we can. Join us tomorrow at 10:30 AM (Ages 4+) for a unique story time experience with Librarian Miss Anna and a special guest miniature horse!
We hope to see you there!
All the best,
