Teen Murder Mystery

Dear Livingston Library Community,

Everybody loves a mystery!  This Wednesday, August 1st, will mark the 15th consecutive year that the Livingston Public Library hosts a Murder Mystery program just for teens.  Over the years this fun and unique program has evolved from a script-based program to one written, implemented and performed entirely by teens for teens.

This year’s theme is “Murder” at the Music Festival. Participants (grades 6-12) will watch the talented cast perform a skit with eyes and ears peeled for revealing details about the characters.  When the skit is over they will work in teams to follow clues, question suspects, and examine evidence to uncover the “killer.”  Everyone is a suspect.  No one in the cast or audience knows who the murderer is until the big secret is unveiled.

I don’t know about you, but it seems like so much fun I (almost) find myself wishing I was a teenager again just so I could participate! Encourage the teens in your life to register for this evening of intrigue and make an unforgettable Library memory.

“What I feel is that if one has got to have a murder actually happening in one's house, one might as well enjoy it, if you know what I mean.”
― Agatha Christie, The Body in the Library

All the best,
Amy
